Senior Estimator

I am currently recruiting for an Estimator with a joinery subcontractor background to join an established firm with an office based in central London. This family run business turnover north of £100m and have a solid reputation for delivering a high quality finish.

Job Duties

• Prepare cost budgets and cost estimates for new contracts within bespoke joinery
• Keep existing contracts up to date, including making amendments, providing new cost estimates, and maintaining communication with the client
• Adhere to company standards and guidelines when analysing and providing estimations; focus on maximising profit and customer satisfaction, while minimising any potential risks to the company
• Prepare detailed, well-written proposals for each client, adhering to client guidelines while offering competitive and comprehensive cost estimates, and including supplementary documentation
• Work with the design team to help with development, innovation, and creativity on client projects
• Keep detailed records of all estimation documentation, including site assessments and contract terms; update any existing contracts immediately upon agreement of new terms with client
• Prepare and submit financial documents

Experience Required

• Minimum of 3 years’ experience
• Ability to work with your own Initiative and able to read drawings
• Ability to Manage Workloads within tight deadlines
• Excellent Verbal and Written Communication Skills
• Experience pricing bespoke joinery
• Ability to Visit Client Sites across London
• Excellent knowledge of excel
